Has anyone ridden one of these? If so what do you think? What are the positives / negatives?
And any idea how far they can be lowered for a shorter rider?

Its already low... Its a great backroads/metal/ some trails bike... and even better on the tar. On lots of metal surfaces it tracks better than my 08 DR650??? Should I say that?
Does weigh more but they are all heavy . Just use Mitas E07s..
This was our last ride: It was awesome. http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=494890
Many thanks to Cooneyr.. Your input was spot on..
Thanks drbandit for the feedback. Interesting comments re your DR650 and tracking in the metal. So it handles the metal okay then? Not too much of a handful when it comes to power delivery etc?
Mark we are looking at options for Leanne and saw one of these in the local Honda dealer, it was not a bike that I had considered before. So don't worry that wonderful piece of Austrian engineering is not leaving!
i think the Transalp would make a lovely ladies bike Mike, if she can handle the weight and height.
its a great bike, a little to road bias for me but still a great bike with a bit of style and grace.
'Good things come to those who wait'
Bollocks, get of your arse and go get it
I recently upgraded from a 650 Transalp to a 700 and it was a real upgrade. I was concerned about the 19" front wheel but for a very small loss ih rideability in tough going the improvement on the tar is huge. In short, "a bloody good bike, I love it"
