    Over $50 million.

That's what the new Auckland Motorway on ramp traffic management system cost.

Currently there are Police on point duty at Penrose to make it work.

And yet they are trying to tax motorcycles off the road.

Please feel free to add any more:

Did you pay the extra processing fee required? He can't pay it himself you know.

There isn't enough parking for all the vehicles... and yet they are trying to tax motorcycles off the road

Keeping the traffic flowing on the motorway is good for all Auckland road users. I assume the Police had to go on points duty because people kept running the red lights?

Nah - because it gridlocks (worse) if they don't.

The construction upstream doesn't help, but it's not entirely to blame either.

No matter what they do I think the congestion will always be terrible, I would rather see that money go into ACC or the rugby world cup tbh, and not just ACC for bikes, for cars etc as well to reduce costs all over the board.

Residents of Wanganui please note - this is only a Comedic device, not intended to offend.

I spent a lovely week in Wanganui one Tuesday afternoon.

50 million for a traffic system sounds reasonable. Considering the existing one was probably installed in the 70's pre-computer age.
BD I won't enlighten you as to how much your super-city water integration project is costing.........if 50million scares you off.
50 million is less than $50 (over the next 20 years) for everyone in Auckland....
