flip, you happen to have a tig welder? or know someone with a tig welder who is sympathetic to bikers?

I don't have one but I do know 2 good people who do (ie it wont be free). I'm thinking about getting one for my workshop.

Same, there are a couple of multifunction units out there that look interesting, tig, arc and plasma not sure if they are any good though.

The thing is you tig s/s and steel on DC and Alumininium in AC so it has to be a good quality welder to do this. Also Aluminium is different to weld than steel. I always found it very difficult to do because I have done a lot of steel welding.

We have an excellent tig welder and someone thats great at using it. We can do aluminium, titanium, etc. Give us a call for a quote.

I think the idea is that they want to do it themselves and with the amount of stuff in our garage I would't have a clue what he does with it, I wouldn't be at all surprised if one suddenly arrived. JM loves being out in the garage.

If you ever need help or a workshop just give me a holla. I have quite a lot of tools, bike hoist, lathe, welding gear and I am just across the harbour from you.

I,m just making myself a bike trailer. I have a 4wd ute but the tray is very high, OK for a 100kg trail bike (or RG150) but its impossible to load a big road bike onto.

Almost a art form , mate has a welding business, amazing watching him do some tricky jobs sometimes with tig.

Sure, no problem tho it may be easier/cheaper and more environmentally friendly if you have an 8gb USB key or something like that as I could put 2-3 videos on it at a time. Somewhere had some on sale recently ... *thinks* Nope, can't remember ... Anyone?

I remember the good old days in christchurch when you could not see 100m for the fog on a frosty night, black snot in my hanky, and the smell of coal & diesel everywhere. I did a stint in China in 2000 and the air polution there was only what Christchurch was like 25 years ago.

The loverly smell of 2stroke oil (ala McW) Real motorbikes with(oh shut up Garry) kickstarts.

And for all you heathens who don't have a kickstart I'm getting closer to being converted. Flip I hope your "Uncle Flip's Kickers" are at least in the planning stage because the Baby Guzzi is looking like it might be a starter, so to speak.

Christchurch was a bloody awfully place to be then.

Wouldn't mind doing the whole summit road next month some time, do it from Gebbies to avoid sun strike, end up at the twisted hop. You know I am a frustrated sports bike rider don't you, love corners ride a Harley, its a dilemma.

I'm also happy to keep the WNR going over winter, weather permitting, maybe in another format, say we are going to say 'Godley house' for a drink at say '630'. Get there when you can, kind of thing. What do you think young man?

I don't mind riding in bad weather actually, helps to be on a 350kg motorcycle. I think I was born in a storm.
