Thanks to all who attended Alan's funeral

On behalf of the Satherley family, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks all those from this and other forums who attended Alan's funeral. There was ASTONISHING sidecar and bike turnout which kinda reflects the depth of respect and friendship you guys and gals have for a fallen one of your own. It really was quite overwhelming. I only had a chance to talk to a very small number of you much to my regret, and for that I sincerely apologise. ....................
There was a photo taken of the attending bike fraternity after the funeral but i was too slow to talk to the person taking the pics, so if anyone has a copy, can you please PM me and I shall include it in the photo album we are putting together about Alan. ....................
Once again thankyou all for your kind words and presence on Alan's last day....He would've been looking over us all with his unforgettable smile. ....................
    Kindest regards.......kim

Thanks to the family for letting us share the day and memories. We'd only met Alan a few times, but had expected to get to know him more over time.
http://www.wfactor.org/?p=gallery&g=..._2010_sidecars has a photo of Alan and Shona racing on that tragic day (as you mention doing an album).
There are other photos there of them competing in the Tri-Series.
    Best wishes.
Michelle (I have nothing to do with the link I posted)

It was a bit of a nightmare trip in some ways but I'm glad we were there to say our goodbyes

I bet it was a nightmare. Youre a better man than me travelling all the way from Christchurch in the same vehicle as Dave.
