Too late by a couple of days me old mate, sorry. I may be up for a Forty Eight as well though when they roll in, I'll be down to see you.

You don't know where I can get a full black Remus system from do you, I've seen the vids and listened to the noise and I wants one, my googling has turned up next to nothing. Cheers Pete.
    Oh bugger

Hahah...yeah all good mate! I got all excited reading your first post's and I thought I'd better get in quick...so responded before reading the whole thread. Most people buy them as soon as they ride them!

I've got a good arcticle on all of the various exhausts for them with some interesting results. PM me your email addy, and I'll scan it and get it to you!

The XR1200 is still featuring VERY strongly on Pussy's "when I get sick of sportsbikes" replacement list. And I haven't even ridden one.
    Something about them.....

I took a Yamaha MT01 for a test ride for a mate last year.... had always thought they were a cool looking bike.
You can shove them up your clacker... fuggin vibration was a killer.
Please don't tell me the XR1200 is like that!

I still intend to take your XR for a blat, Pete.
At the moment I'm busier than a one armed taxi driver with crabs... maybe when the rush is over

Nothing that 20 litres of fly spray wont fix!
Which is your preferred one, Pete? The BPF or conventional USD fork one?

Edit: Had a bloody wasp in the cockpit with me today... half way through a sowing run at 100' agl, and suddenly confronted with a wasp with an attitude problem! Just about would have traded my left nut for a can of fly spray at that juncture!

It wobbles like a jelly on a plate at standstill/idle, not at all intrusive after that, just enough to let you know there's a real engine at work, not even enough to agitate your crabs mate.
    Oh bugger

They're both fun. I like the black Finish of the X, but that's purely personal. The BPF are good if you're going hard out...but a bit firm if you're not. The floating discs are better on the X too. But for most punters...the std XR's are just fine as they are.
