North Shore City: Takapuna: Motorcycle Parking

About 6 months ago I rang up North Shore City Council and complained that council vehicles (not motorcycles) where parking in the public motorcycle parks near my work. And to their credit, 30 minutes later the council vehicles were gone and never came back.

So I started using the motorcycle park the very next day. Today I went to park my bike in the usual park, and it was full up - with motorcycles.

    This makes me very happy.

By using resources especially created by the council for motorcycles, and using them to the full extent, we send a signal to the council that we are an active part of the community. It's the kind of thing that encourages the council to create more dedicated motorcycle resources, weather it being parking, roading, signage, whatever.

So thank you to those who make an effort to use the resources our public servants make available to us.

Why aren't you complaining about not enough motorcycle parks - the existing ones being full up, - this is KB, after all!

Praise should only be related to wheelies and "I got off my ticket even though I was going 100K faster than I was allowed" posts....

Dad always told me, there's two things in life you don't share. Your women and your motorbike.

Good on ya! Are you talking about the motorcycle park near the mall? I have had to make a complaint about cars parked in there too. They were gone quick smart.

Don't try to park there on a Sunday though.... market day. Its a bloody shambles.
