It also broadens the appeal of the meeting, so you drag along a few of us ol' fulla's who remember pressing snotty young noses to bike shop windows mindlessly drooling over the first GPZ900 or RZ350 in all it's brand new glory, or seeing Dr Freeth, all knees and elbows, flapping away like a giant grasshopper on a Macintosh Suzuki back in the day.
For sheer diversity it's hard to beat a good field of post classics.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Once again the experts have got it wrong,What JT actually said was "It should not be a National championship"

Well thats great!Cause you havent,Woodys question was about streetstock and thats what I was refering to.Your statement was about bucketracers was it not ???

Yeah,I think the buckets were at Ruapuna and were definitely at Manfeild (both of them),If its buckets you were singling out,Then yeah they definitely shouldnt be at National meetings. The streetstock class SHOULD have enough entries too run as a stand alone class,IF the class is managed properly as is done in the South Island with a proper mentoring and tutoring program,NOT with the interference of money grabbing experts and conmen intent on watering the pool down with the introduction of more and more variations of the class.

Depends on which SS class you are referring too,There are 3 in the North with the Pacific club running 250 multis in their series and then theres 150 2stroke/4stroke and the new prolite 250 class introduced by MNZ too replace the 150 2 strokes as they become harder and harder to keep running. The class as I see it should be up to 150 2 stroke and up to 250 4 stroke twins,Anything else should be outlawed by the roadrace commission and permits with held for clubs attempting too alter the class through supp regs. The new pro lites class is growing at a rapid rate and with the backing of Kawasaki NZ and Hyosung NZ should be nurtured,Not interferred with
Spot on Billy...........u have my vote.............................................. .... but "barran ground" "deaf ears" spring to mind again.
