Hey all - slight follow-up from last night, bit of a replay of the puncture saga of last week...
Must have got it last night, but a carpet tack makes for a nice slow puncture - no problems last night, but 10psi this morning for work. So, out with the Innovations kit - and for those of you still looking to buy one:
- don't buy the one with the small cannisters. All 3 of my smalls barely got to 24PSI in the rear tyre, and that with some residual pressure already in there. The big ones FollowMe had (abt 5 inches long by 2 diameter) are probably the minimum for reasonable non-scooter bikes...
- check your set has some reasonable amount of glue ... mine was pitiful (even if it hadn't all dried up too - luckily the hole was tiny and the "rubber string" has really bedded in well, and even then if the whole string went I'd still only have a small original hole/slow rate of deflation)
- still think the old BMW OEM puncture kit had it right on the money with including a little fold-out razor blade for the plug and a piece of chalk to mark the hole - the one tonight was hard to see in daylight, let alone if it was darker/wet.
Anyway, will checkout the replacements tomorrow.
Probably can't make anything this weekend either - doing a big system migration at work, will be babysitting software off-&-on all weekend...
He who shall go stately at the back and not stress out.
So Gareth what was it you said about MaxF's "Funky ass curves"? - God, now I'm worried...

Oh & brp.....we all wear leathers at the track!!![]()
Max "You jinked yourself with all that talk about puncture repair kits at the Gretea"
Cheers guys and gals
"Leathers" heard that was the word on the wire, was looking at getting some for the road anyway - as much as I'd like to see "Hot lady" in her nurse's uniform at burwood I'm not keen on the skin grafts![]()

Matey turned my idle up day we discovered bit of water in the fuel - I turned it down to far - since ya not meant to have any throttle on when starting it took a few kicks till I gave the throttle a wee flick - if ya just relax with it - it starts well - easy said than done when 40 motorbikes are leaving you on Marshlands - the gentlemen on the beamer stopping to see if I was alright seemed to do the trick and up it fired. Cheers Max - you're a great wingman
(Great starting bikes - get it right on the money using the decomp and its like kicking over a 100)
