Stolen bikes?

well ive been a wondering,
with the increse of bikes being stolen what hapens to them?. Do they end up as parts, track bikes,insurance, or can they somehow be re-regestred and sold on on used. Just seems pointless to steal a bike for no market so what's the market.

How bad is bike theft down there? Is it more prominent in the Auckland area or is it happening everywhere?

Up in these parts they usually get parted out and end up on E-bay and motorcycle salvage places.

Cheak out Trade Me some will be parts but have you seen how many frames are listed on TM with Rego on hold.....Make's it rather easy to flog a bike and put it into a new frame don't you Think

Most things stolen today are for a pre arrange market..........other's just joy riders ,but still sucks when someone steals from you regardless
