    OH MAN!!! i'm married, c'mon....

    What job do you do?
you know... not always what you do is what you are.
so, the answer at your question is "i work in administration; i've worked in vodafone shop for some years, then with siemens medical division as commercial support; i've worked in an ice cream shop; i've done a lot of thing, but my resume would be completely interestless..."

instead the answer at your next question is "i'm an airline pilot. i've been trained and dumped by our flag company because of the way italy works."
obviously i'm not lookin' for a captain seat in air nz, but i'd like to fly, everything everyhow would be great, even if 'till now i've had not so encouragin response from your islands and that's the reason why going back to california where already know people and environment would be easier...
i hope to have better possibilities face to face...

LOL!!! I like your sense of humour!

Jobs are still a problem here for many, but my business is growing and my son-in-law is flat out and having to take on staff and put more vans on the road. Plumbing is fairly recession-proof, so if you're a plumber or an electrician...

If you do speak another language it can be helpful. My son-in-law came from Germany and speaks five languages and speaking German and understanding the German way has opened many doors for him.

I have found that if you get the right person in Immigration, they can be very helpful.

My wife hates the cold as well, so that is the main reason we live in the North. The South Island is Paradise and for those who don't mind more variation, (read colder), in the weather. South Islanders can't understand why anyone would want to live in Auckland, but I love it here. We are just north of the city at a three kilometer-long beach, a beautiful seaside town only 25min to downtown Auckland and the gateway to the North. Hundreds of beaches, bays and islands to explore. Boating is extensive and fishing a major recreational passtime. You name it is here! See the attachment.

Your little story, Almost, sounds like Levin. Except that we are 20mins to a Decent beach

15 mins to a walking track and overnight camps through Native bushland.
The only stupid question is a question not asked!

i'm sure we'd have ideas and capacity to make this a better world, but nobody cares: here everybody have lost the sense of what is right and what is wrong, and when the ones that make the wrong thing are the most there is no better solution than say "fuck you all"...
remember? "if i'd found 50 right people..." i'm afraid there are less than 50...

i'm angry with this country... when you are cheated by someone you can call the police, but when you're cheated by your country, who'll you call? we've been here for 30 years, and understood that we don't want our children to grow up in this place...

i've lived in california for a while, ten years ago: i thought that livin' in italy was better. now they've make this place worst, so...
the only thing i'm going to miss is my pasta brand...

Ah, it's not really that bad. Longest time to get to the office in the car is hour and a half for the normally off-peak 40min trip. But the scenery, the harbour the bush-lined streets, the stereo and air-conditioning make it relaxing as long as you keep your eye on those who cannot drive...

The bike, of course makes the trip in under an hour even with peak traffic. But the attachment really says it all... We live in Orewa and it's such a nice place I'll probably retire here.

It's the same here, mate. You will brake your neck trying to fix it all, so just make sure you get a fair deal for yourself as best you can.
