    Commute distance/time

I am doing a bit of research that may or may not involve a change of employment.

    How far do you commute?

How long does it take you?

    What is traffic like?

I may or may not be looking at 45 Kms each way, mostly open road.

    Is that reasonable commute?

So far has been an easy 30 mins one way 45 the other.

    25k's, door to door.
    20-30 mins depending on conditions
At 7.00am down here? Traffic? WTF is traffic?
If there is any traffic I take the centreline.

On Auckland's North Shore 7k's took 50 mins in a car, 65 mins on foot.

I cant give you the exact distance of my commute from Glenfield to Auckland city but, what would take me over an hour by car only takes me 15-20 minutes on the bike thanks to use of the transit lane and some agile lane splitting on the harbour bridge.
Traffic is diabolical from 6.30am to around 9.30am in the morning.

18 kms, 22 minutes. About half of it down a 70kph ring road so quite a pleasant way to start and finish the day usually.

25km each way in the Wellywood traffic so on a good day about 25 minutes. On a bad day 35 minutes.
PS.If you don't lane split you might as well drive a car.

    me, 15kms.
    12mins.
    open road/ expressway.
    Number of traffic lights=0.
Number of retards on the road=a lot.
    Dead critters=2-8.
Whats the new rule with everyone driving with their lights on during the day now? Quite a lot of the morons even have high beams blazing.
Or is it the same phenomonon as those who indicate wrong at roundabouts? AHHHHH... so many people shouldnt drive that do.

Uh oh, LOL. Yeah that works real good dunnit. I am amazed by the number of people who angrily dissapprove of that. Bummer for them.

Our kids ride 20mins to school, and they freeze in the winter.

Not so much a commute, but I drive 20 kms to the flooring shop then anywhere from 2K's to 100K's for the days job.
Just depends where the job is really, the upside of the travel is, we get paid for it.

Uh you are meaning commute by bike, not one of them silly cage things ?
