    For the CR250 riders

Not sure if you've seen this, but looks to me a pretty damn cool series on rebuilding a CR250

he is using the 01 cause they are better than 02 onwards..service honda uses the 01 engine for there new cr and trx..something to do with the power valve set up and crank case volume, on the 02 onwards you have to epoxy the crank case to reduce volume

Really? is the crank case that big? that sounds a bit rubbish to me. The power valve is electronic so you could make really good use of that.

What is this new CR you talk about?

service honda in the states make brand new bikes using 2010 crf frames with new cr500 mtr, also 2010 cr250, crf-x frame with cr250 and cr 250 powered quads all using new 01 cr250 mtr's...also do alloy frame kx500 and yz300

ps.yes crank case volume is to large on 02 onwards. fact not rubbish but thats ok

, It's interesting reading, I really like the 250 4t currently, but a direct injection 2t would be a very very interesting bike.

Sorry I wasn't trying to discredit you, just seems an odd point to deal with. Especially if you are going to EFI it. I assume that they are going to straight swap the carb for injectors which will give more accurate fuel amounts, but you don't get any benefits like you would if you use direct injection.
