we're taking spare wheels, definately not over the top - saves mucking around with tyre levers and tubes!

That was nice of them. I know you can def register on the Sat & Sunday and possibly the Friday night for the wknd. Just not sure if you need to be pre registered to ride Friday arvo. I'm sure they wouldn't turn people away though.

    so... who did what???

saruday we went out and did

the one that heads towards sniper then hangs a left home and comes back to home via the army accomodation area
    sniper alley
waitangi?? (the one that was called tussock trail last year)
then dam buster?? (the long one with the edinborough hill)

as you can see im shit with names!

after this we were fairly rooted and it was about an hour away from dark.... so on the piss it was.

sunday went out for a couple of short loops and then that was us off for the 6.5 hour drive home

    anyone know the photographer's website?

Gisborne huh? You weren't mates with the poor guy whose bike fell off the rescue quad still attached to the trailer (towball fell off the quad) were you? Poor bastard...Glad my bike was off it by that point.
We did the 93k trail on Saturday, seemed harder than last year. I couldn't kick my bike well because my leg was all strapped up so had to ask for help a lot, which sucked. Was fun riding tho. Some of the hill climbs were pretty challenging on the 100. Pushed it for sure. Sunday my bike shat itself just after the first fuel stop on the way to sniper alley. So the boys went ahead while I spent a few hours being rescued, hanging out in the tussock, and going for a chopper ride (Was really, really cool getting an aerial view of the area - worth a fried clutch, maybe). Bike will be taking a trip to spectrum to get all sorted on Monday, then it's up for sale.
Anyway, I'm tired. Pix and vids tomorrow. Coughing up a lung from dust.

nope, dont know that guy.... as far as i knew there was only the group of 7 of us from gisborne there..

as for the chopper... i was trying to think of a good reason to get a ride in that, but all our bikes and riding were too reliable to have any issues of great enough magnitude to not carry on.

    I was there.
http://moneyweb.co.nz/Tussock_Buster.php this is where the photos will be
I did, Waitangi and totem on friday, sniper and dam buster on saturday, and tussock buster on sunday.
It must be said that this year was a great improvement on the track quality compared to last year.
we may just go where no ones been
