This thread simply highlights the problem raised here If the competitor doesn't get off the track, what efforts( and how) are made by the flaggies etc to get them off?
Who cares what sort of machine it is, the problem affects everyone.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

That is the point yes - we are playing the blame game. I suppose the problem is if one or two or even 3 bikes go down on one corner - we only have one corner on the track that is needed to be attended to... also when every other competitior goes back out there you only adjust your riding for that one corner.

For some reason chairs seem to have habit of NOT pulling off the track and stopping..... if a 2 wheeler leaks fiuld they fall off within seconds.... i know ive done it ( re blown oil line going into the esses at manny - i didnt even get to turn into the left hander!)

yeah its a tough one to sort - but simply put we either tighten up machine requirements aka closer inspection of machines, or the operators need to tighten there act up.

if its a unexpected blow up then fine - but PULL OFF THE BLOODY TRACK, no one will get angry with anyone who has done there best to make every elses day still continue.

is there a 'chair' over riding/seeing body within MNZ??

We once popped a motor a few years back, the result is my avatar picture, we didn't even know we were on fire until we got off the track

Can't be true, surely not a meeting held by oil dropped by something other than a sidecar? but hey it was a two wheeler so that makes it all right

Nope read my last few posts - 2 wheelers stop pretty quick ( sometimes on purpose but not always )

The longest delay I have ever seen at a meeting was the first Nationals I did when a F3 bike went down and there was close to a 2 hour delay cleaning up the oil it dumped on a wet track, fucking F3 bikes, should get rid of them[/QUOTE]

Nice dig at F3 - its a pretty sh*t class really - only about 45 turn up every VMCC round.... doesn't really get people into racing.

Plus, you don't have to worry about oil on the track as he's doing a nice job of burning it off! Very considerate if you ask me

Wasn't intended as a dig just pointing out we're not the only ones that can cause long delays

That was me with the hand up, I knew we'd had a failure but we didn't have a clue what it was

The said sidecar DID NOT cause any delay. The schedule was, sidecars race--LUNCH BREAK!!

The time it took to clean the track, was done in the lunch break time zone

This thread is being used by certain parties to try and high ligjht there own agenda's

Which liar told you it was a grinding disc? You need to get your facts straight.
It was an emery wheel to put a honed finish on the rotors so the pads would settle down quicker, & hey, it worked great!
If you'd wandered over you would have seen the perfect even as new finish on the rotors when i finished.
It also knocked over a second off Mr Reynold's lap times as well.
