Would that be the best option though? that would mean about a 50mm bore x 54.5 mm stroke?

Can I open a can of worms and ask the question, Is an FXR with new track rubber on it and mirrors/lights etc taken off it really a 'bucket'.

Maybe it's simular to the test match vs 20/20 cricket situation. One is the original form of the sport, and the other a new inovation, but both still called cricket.

BTW, I like racing against FXRS etc. Just adding to discussion.
they said the same about rg50's back in the day ????

Where are all the RG50s? I'd love to see F5 pick up again. Seems to have about 5 bikes running on a regular basis in Auckland. I remember a meet I went to as a spectator many many moons ago where F5 seemed biger than F4

Or the street magic craze, that built the F5 fields up for a couple of years and provided lots of entertainment

It seams to be the same situation as when RG50's showed up. All of a sudden you could put Yokohama sprint tires on a more or less stock bike and win races. Before long you needed to add a pipe, then a better carb, then chassis mods, then... Good stuff I say to anything that boosts numbers and keeps the class going.

No it isn't and they're all cheating bastards that own them (well right up to the point I get one anyway)

We have the rule book to define what an F4 or F5 bike can and cannot be. Any other gibbering on about whether something is a bucket or within the spirit of the thing as opposed to the rules as laid down by MNZ is all a bit pointless really.
