Shit Billy, you even take shit from one thread into another one! Why stop short of naming the person above - why not just say this relates to SCRIVY?
Other thread here:
Stand up higher on your soap box and yell out my name SCRIVY at the top of your lungs. Don't add inuendos to your posts to confuse people. Say it like it is.
I am really pleased that you did turn down that commissioners job with MNZ - with biased attitudes like yours, and hatred of fellow racers - MNZ would have been truely screwed!
Oh, and I only bother to use the phone to talk to rational thinking people. Hence I didn't call you as you would have hoped.
I hope this clarifies your above post.

I hear where you are coming from but I firmly believe what I said. Many times I saw evidence that his front end could have worked better than it did, thats a critical appraisal where I have also seen it on some of ''my'' bikes and have then promptly gone in and changed the settings. The Ohlins stuff is as you realise designed to be taken apart rather more easily so you can change the settings. I make no apology whatsoever for saying that the BPF stuff is inherently dodgy. That is why teams such as Factory Honda in MotoGB rejected their Showa BPF forks, also Suzuki in WSBK etc. The idea isnt so bad but the production application is full of issues.
So Im biased....
Nick did deserve the title and he is a truly brilliant rider to overcome any shortcomings, whatever they may be.
I hope Nick takes a big bank loan and tries his hand racing abroad next year. Fantastic to watch.
(and he pissed all over the ohlins clad bikes)

Plus a lot of depth in the subsequent placegetters beyond that, mostly supplied and fettled by CKT. Its easy to concentrate on one rider who already has abundant talent and tenacity ( all kudos to Nick ) but you must also be able to demonstrate a depth of success that extends beyond just one or two riders. The fact of the matter is that this is inarguably a very difficult trade that we are engaged in.
WE DONT HAVE TO OFFER THE GREAT DEPTH OF SERVICE THAT WE DO, AT VERY LOW COST OR PLAIN KIWI GOODWILLl, MOST RACERS ACTUALLY APPRECIATE IT. I think also most racers appreciate dealing with FACTORY TRAINED Ohlins suspension guys that are not full of wild unsubstaniated fantasies / romanticisms and bullshit.
I TAKE NOTHING AWAY FROM NICK, HE IS A NICE GUY, IMMENSELY TALENTED AND FULLY DESERVED HIS TITLE. AND ALL THE VERY BEST TO HIM.
