Cheers for sharing looked awesome, got to say trail riders have got to be the dumbest F**kers on the planet, they seen to just stop in the middle of the trail, or all congregate on the opposite side of a river crossing, but in the f**kn way, some of those crossing looked challenging, don't need the added challenge of trying to get through a group gathered on the opposite bank.
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

Oooops...that's me as well. But one of the things that people do at these places is pull up to check that the people that they are riding with are ok so they just stop at the first convenient point.

I have about 7 hours of helmet cam footage. Having said that a lot of it is useless or unwatchable by anyone except me and the guy I was riding with.

we didn't do all the tracks either-didn't do Sniper alley for instance

Thats pretty cool, the trails look a lot smoother than they were last year /
Theres no way you have follwed the old guy that close last year, the dust was so bad you needed to follow about 100metres back ...

They did a huge amount of work on the tracks this year and also the set up at the rugby grounds too. I was most impressed by the improvement

There were some pretty rough tracks where it looked as if they had run a dozer over the tracks and some of the bumps were quite sharp. And it was pretty dusty in parts . Overall it was an awesome ride and I really enjoyed it. We did a shit load of k's and if I was younger slimmer and fitter we would have done a lot more. The tracks out the back-the big long ones were best but I did like the main return track

I didn't go to this ride, but from the video you've posted the tracks look a bit boring. Was it? Great filming/editing tho

the sniper alley trail was in no way boring, and the other shorter loops (50km or less) werent boring, but i went on the "dam buster" track, which was 80ish? kms, and i found it largely boring.

if i go again next year i wont bother going out on the long long loops, just stick to the short and average loops.... and probably do them faster and faster for the challenge.

sniper alley that everyone talks about follows the sort of main trail for the first half, then turns off to go a long way down in single lane tight windy trees and a long way up in similar style.... kind of reminded me of the tracks out the back of woodhill that nobody used (or how it was when i was last there 2 and a half years ago) except heaps longer.

Oh ok, that makes sense. I was looking at the vid thinking 80kms of that would do my head in
