Don't you get stuck with all your demerits points for 2 years? If your on 90 demerits now you'll have to ride/drive like an angel for 2 years so you don't push yourself over that 100 point mark. Your time starts from your latest ticket.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Here only the helmet is mandatory to wear.

But our road chipseal is very rough and sharp, and if you fall on it with your hands down it will cut your hands right back to the bones. Because of this, you must wear quality skin protection at all times on NZ roads.

Boots & gloves not mandatory, (but recommended). The police officer stopped her, because he thought that because she wasn't wearing gloves or boots, that she probably also didn't have a licence.

The policeman must have thought that that it was a good indication that she didn't know what she was doing. But she fooled him because she does have a licence, her real plan was to collect enough infringements and demerit points so that the police will take her licence off her.

Now it seems she has decided that she wants to keep her licence after all, because it is more fun to fool the police into thinking that you don't have one, than actually not having one.

A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

Great explanation for the non-english speaking folks, but even I had to read this bit twice.

Here are some Police books I've read. These are the UK editions. To evade the law, you first need to know how the law thinks. Work the system, or it will work you.

(Reality - just ride like a chicken, well within your limits and you will be fine - like me).
