Glad to see you've had it out for a ride.

HD?? What was that written on the old GS? (memory fades) something like I'd rather have VD on my dick than HD on my tank? Made me laugh a way back (before I became the politically sensitive chap I now am). erm...

Cool as Blackbird. I was up at Broady on Sunday. The I/V is always a please to see riding around. There were a few Vincents at the speedway there too & a good day out if the Currens are involved

a Steve Roberts designed and built GS1000 chopper or my ACE four ( after twenty years peicing it together I found the very last part a couple of weeks ago to finish the jigsaw)

theres a photo of it on my profile page, took five years to rebuild it using parts from 52 different bikes beleive it or not, this tally doesn't include nuts and bolts except for one wingnut on the toolbox.
Runs like a clock too as the new conrods were made by a toolmaker indeed he rebuilt the whole motor and gearbox.
Had her up to 75mph along a flat motorway with the partner in the sidecar, brakes are another thing...

Did you at one stage have a rigid (or sprung hub) triumph with a home made sidecar? If you're the person I'm thinking of, there was a Vincent hung up on the wall of your workshop, directly below mine (workshop) in lower hutt. Or maybe there is another Vin around waiting to be restored
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
