    Looking to buy xr250/xr400/xr650/dr650 dually

Hi all, looking for a dual purpose bike for the mrs. thinking about xr250 or xr400 or something in between. Must be reliable and have reasonable power/throttle response. Also keeping a sneeky eye out for a dually for me, would be happy with a dr650/xr650 or even a decent xr400

If you guys come accross anything, please let me know. TM is a bit thin on road legal XR's.

If the Mrs is a new rider I would strongly recommend splashing out on something with electric start. When buying XR's remember that both the 250 & 400 got a heap of upgrades in 97 so any that age or newer are the ones to get.

    Cheers
    Clint

Cheers for the advice Clint! the Mrs isnt new to bikes but electric leg is not something I have considered, glad you mentioned it. Maybe add to shopping list a DRZ400 road legal...

When I got into bikes again a few years ago,I searched for months to get a 250 or less road legal trail bike....in the end I got a XL200R import & went thru the frustrating process of getting it on the road.It was an awesome wee bike though

    Good luck with the search!
