yeah,..got the the tiny screwdriver under each other..moved it around the piston and PING !!!....two piece ring !!
Thought I could save the no.2 ring but nope, same. Poor things must have had a hard life. The top of the piston has had a bit of a hammering like someone put a socket extension on it to try and free it up in the bore. Also, the beginnings of a wee hole is in the centre but I don't think it'll make much difference to how it runs. Just have to run a cold plug in it.

Try Bryce, he did have some old Yam piston stuff
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
If you'll wait a few years I'll have my Stinger going & then I'll show you what-for.

I found an overseas places (that a certain Wgtn FXR bucket racer buys his stuff from) can do a piston kit (the full-monty) for US$9.42 !!!
Worked it all out with freight and NZ conversion to $55 !!!
Goddamn cheap !!!
Now a chamber, a little porting,..a bigger carb.....a cutaway a bit on the disc...
However, I did consider trying to find a YL-1 engine to go in it........that would give your Stinger a bit of a hurry up !!

I'll be making 2 stoke rings next week if you need some. I'll need the sizes.
