As silly a question as it is... Are the glasses for the TV the same as the ones used at the cinema? if so i'll drop my sister a line because you get to keep the 3D specs from the movies you watch in the UK... and whilst big they're Michael Caine jobbies, they feel and look much better than those you have to return at the movies over here...

Yeah we too can keep the glasses from the cinema.
G'day, Welcome to NZ![]()

Have a look in Normon Ross, they are part of the HN group but there are some real bargains to be had.
And wherever you buy from, get em to play a blu-ray (I suggest Avatar for best comparison) though a few screens and see if your eyes can tell teh difference, On paper a full HD screen is superiour but twice the price, In the flesh it maybe a different story.
I believe modern 3D movies require modern 3D glasses, and you don't get to keep them.
Our local cinema has said they won't be getting 3D tech any-time soon as the projector+screen required is a $300 000 package, and they needed a pair of $80 glasses for each seat in the theatre.
Best thing I ever did to a telly was plug it into a really good surround sound stereo. No matter how good the picture, it's still just a telly & you get used to your super duper pin sharp picture in a matter of hours. I have to hide behind the couch watching The Pacific, great.
A big screen 3D smelly telly for Motogp would interest me.
Put a 106" screen with HD projector in the man cave at home. Only use it for sports and blueray movies. 100% love it - it is my happy place.
