Top day to be out on two wheels

Friend of ours asked if we'd care to go on a wee jaunt to Kawakawa Bay this afternoon. Hmmm, says me, got 2 assignments due in a couple of weeks and some lecture notes to write up. What am I thinking???? choice between sitting inside doing school work or out on the bike? The ride won out. (ps. that will not be a reflection of my work attitude once I'm a qualified teacher....)

What a beautiful day! Stopped for icecream at Kawakawa Bay and just enjoyed watching the screeds of gorgeous bikes blatting past. Ok, so we didn't exactly do a gijoe1313 and head to Wellington and back for the day () but it was still very enjoyable to be sharing the road with so many other riders who were obviously also making the most of this sweet break in the weather.

It was indeed a gret day to be out on a bike. I dodn't get away until after 2 but still had an enjoyable few hours continuing my quest to see how far North, South, East & West I can go without riding on a State Highway

Got to Pokeno to but I don't recommend anyone going down Razorback Road for a while - the hill is very nasty thick big rock gravel ATM

makes for an intersting time on a cruiser

Yep took advantage and went for a ride, called into Deus Ex Machina on the way back for a feed and a drink. First time I've been there, what an ace place.

While the sun pops its head out in Auckland... the little girl in Wellington waits.
As she hears about other people who managed to get out on their bikes... the little girl in Wellington waits.
As the rain buckets down day after day after bloody day... the little girl in Wellington waits.
..and waits, and waits... until she too can jump back on her new toy of bugga off for a fun days riding like you lot. Perhaps I need to move north!

Pleased you had a great day out. Jealous much.

The weather down here was crap, which was good as I have a research proposal due on the 11th and a 5000 word paper due for submission on Saturday the 5th, so I have been staring at computer screen and grinding my way through screeds of journal articles. When do you finish your teacher training?
Don't blame me, I voted Green.

Yup nice place, we found it a few months back... some great coffee, and very nice bikes! Almost stopped in, but went west instead.

At least you will understand when your students say "I didn't do my homework Miss, I went for a ride instead!"
