Hopefully if the mud is real thick the still intact side knobs will work. Hopefully.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

    Great ride this morning guys.

One question tho - who was the idiot who parked their 4wd under a fallen tree?

Yes twas good fun alright. Traction was a lot better than I thought it would be. Every time I go up there new tracks sort of appear.

Was it one of us who parked their 4wd under the tree??

Bloody good fun. Nice to ride some hills rather than flat land.

Almost as silly as parking a 4wd in the Appleby River just below roof level.

    Yip...... good fun
And the tree was upright when I left the carpark. Windscreen should be fixed tomorow, don't think I'll worry about the bonnet and aerial though

Ah well that was long overdue and a heckuva lot of fun. Should be more of it.

Was surprising how grippy it was compared to yesterday arvo - specially the hills facing the northern sun.
    Cheers,
    Colin

Yeah we should do it again soonish. Good selection of bikes there too. I did like the way Will can pick his up & spin it around on the track.

I gave Jatz a hand & pushed/rolled the ct down the hill while he rode gonzo down to get the trailer. Wasn't till I started riding home that I realised what I'd done - waiting to see if it'll go tomm morning.

I was surprised how gutless it was, though. Top job from Will for the day!

Presumably the road gearing didn't help. Thrash first gear then it still couldn't hold second up a fairly typical hill. There's a big step up in power from the 125 to the 200 (as in the DR200 I used to have), but I 'spose it is 60% more cubes. A "useful increase" as they say.
    Cheers,
    Colin

Clearly it's geared for top end speed, I have seen an indicated 100 with WOT along the Stoke bypass....then turned around and did 95 into the wind! Leave it in first just about everywhere was the answer, pleased that the clay had dried out, the MT40s when clogged were slippery! Let us know a time that suits and I'll come have a look at your more appropriate tyres, though I do like the idea that Fran had about trials tyres, not so sure how they would wear on the road though?

I may give it a birthday if I'm gunna do more of that sort of stuff, I wouldn't take the Big up or down some of those hills so the ct may see more action.........
or I may just get it mobile and kick it into a corner 'till next time
