Fine if they are over-the-glasses goggles. I've used a pair of Scott OTG for years, they are great with/without glasses (gone back to contacts since I bought them).

Of more concern to me is how the glasses fit with the helmet.
    Cheers,

On Dino's advice I bought a 2100b from emoto. Very nice road based adv helmet and if delivery from them had been any faster I would have had it before I ordered it. paid by CC one day and it turned up the next morning. That's chch to waiuku faster than I can get stuff from Akld!! Going to try them for other stuff from now on.

Hmmm, well, thats a big question! Partner Leanne knows about it, told my Dad and bro they should fly out from UK and Abu Dhabi for a boys holiday...
Had a look on Ebay for bikes... Unsure between an old and cheap XR or XL 350/400/500/600/650 or wait for a lotto win and get that tricked out BMW HP2 that I saw. Then again shipping isnt too bad for my DR...
All just ideas, and probably a few years off yet. Unless you are planning to do it again any time soon, then I could be persuaded to tag along...

    Hey Gav,
If you're serious about the TransAm trail, a workmate of mine did it last year, has all the GPS routes mapped and has a shitload of knowledge about it. He bought a KLR over there and shipped it home after the ride. He loved it, and has some good stories to tell if you want some more info about it, pm me and I can put you in touch with him.

    Hi CrazyFrog

I'd be interested in seeing the GPS routes also.

Haha. I've been trying to warm the missus up to the idea of me sneaking off for a month to do the TAT. I think I'll have enough browny points by about 2015 (if I'm reeeeeeeeaaaaaallllly good, so no chance). Seems to me to be a sensible BIG trip without having to deal with border crossings/language issues/wars/bribery etc.
Showing off for the camera since ages ago

The T.A.T looks like a neat ride. Ive been looking at info and threads on it for years. I guess youve saw the Mobius thread on ADV rider ?

Yea the Mobius RR is a very very very very detailed report of the trip but I prefer bigdogadventures more concise RR of the TAT http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...=147232&page=1.

Well I'll be buggered if I can find a 2100(b) in Auckland, but judging by the fit of some other Zeus helmets I tried, they don't suit a Shoei head. So I'll be saving my pennies for a Hornet, given comments earlier in the thread about visor distortion with the FFM (which would drive me nuts).

FWIW I noticed that the FFM and the Zeus aren't SHARP rated at all... only to discover that neither is the Hornet!
