And I thought these reporters and editors studied "English" at school?! Correct spelling and grammar are clearly long lost skills!

They disappeared when regional accents were introduced.
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

Why were so many people attacking British taxi drivers in the first place?

I didn't even know we had that many British taxi drivers, thought they were all traffic cops.

Grammar has nothing to do with "balance". Misuse of punctuation and other grammatical standards merely makes abusers look ignorant. Sloppy is as sloppy does.

Serious question then for the BOGNOTZA brigade. When writing by hand do you leave a space between the last letter and a question mark or run them next to each other ?

I type the way that I was taught to write, and it was that you leave a gap, even if it was half a letter width.

EDIT - Just found out what BDOTGNZA means. I prefer arse.

Who was the Numpty(TM) taught you to write?

    Gah - thud...

So if it's 0 deg in Dunedin, and 1 deg in Christchurch, how many times hotter is Ch-ch...?

0 deg C is not an absolute.
