cos the chance of cops writing you a ticket is still higher than the chance of them getting your TV back from those thieving fuckers?

Why don't you do 100kph? You'll get there 5 minutes sooner AND you won't cause people who get pissed of at you to crash whilst they're over taking you. Why have a 100kph limit if people won't even do it? Do you also do 45 around town?

Can't argue that the toll was so low because of a simple 5kph reduction in tolerance. Too simplistic. Too many other factors at work.
but the only way to tell is to see how many ppl got booked for speeding at 104km/hr isnt it? If people were being booked at 104km/hr then it shows ppl didnt slow down and the road toll decreased. Its simple really....

of course.. could one argue the butterfly effect?

Having a clamp down on speed prevented accidents because people are so scared of getting a ticket that they were paying more attentioin to what is around them to make sure it wasnt a cop? Maybe people were more attentive to their driving and paying more attention? Maybe people can not actually handle a vechile at 104km/hr and 100km/hr is infact, a safe speed.

Maybe we could all take a lesson from burglars here lol. They know the highest chance of getting caught is transporting your stolen propty, so they probably stick to the speed limit and can burglarise all night long.

And like SD said...maybe a whole lot of people were allowed to travel unmolested because (most of) the troops on the ground knew this ploy to be bullshit and refused to dole out tickets?
We will never really know why this w/e was almost death-free.

    Dont you read the news?
I did it on the long weekend to account for the 10% tolerance reduction for an enforceable offence and to also account for the variation amongst car makers.

No one was getting pissed as everyone was doing the same, well mostly.
Besides if some fucker cant handle sitting behind me at 95kmph then thats there problem, I dont give a rats arse
Ive run out of fucks to give

And in that statment is what is wrong with our roads, as per everything else in this country, its "I'm all right jack, fuck everyone else."
What if you come up to someone that's doing 90 or 89? I bet you would want them to pull over and let you passed.

    I agree
same with the arseholes that use the right lane and block traffic when they could move over and let it pass

Came up behind one such on the way over to Rotovegas on Saturday...Asian touristas by the look. Travelling at 80km/hr with a huge tail of following traffic. Hit the passing lane. They stayed in the right hand lane. Until I flashed the lights and sat on the Stebel button...then they moved left and we all tootled past...at 103km/hr of course I swear!...
