Nobody needs to know, and I'll pay your cleaning bill if that's all that's stopping ya.

It was a bonus we had six in custody after four hours using one dog unit and three other units totalling 10 staff who culd have been dealing with serious crime.
This is serious crime man... sure they 'just' stole some shit, but there's thousands of people doing it!

Nobody likes shit under their door handles mate. And they sure as anything don't like Tergo Strip... first thing they'll do is touch it going "What's this crap?". That'll wake them up.

Fingers crossed the police weren't kidding when they said they may know who it is Bill. Any pics may be unrecognisable, with any luck!

It is serious, this guy seems to think he's unstoppable. Five houses around here in the last few weeks. Someone must know something, lets hope they don't cover for him too much longer!

I'll be around tomorrow Sarge. I'll be running around getting insurance stuff together, ANZA have been FAB.

Quick update. Last night was a bit freaky sleeping next to the window used to gain entry. I'd nailed it up so wasn't worried too much about a repeat performance. Didn't get to sleep for awhile though and had hammer handy. Visited another neighbour today who reckoned that on the night in question someone walked up her drive at 1.00 am. That puts them in the perfect spot to jump the fence, razor wire there might be the go.

Police called and have a date for tomorrow. Windows ALL deadbolted now and I'll deal to the garage shortly. But getting new ignition barrels for the Tiger and topbox ain't going to be fun.

Damned if the little prick is getting his hands on that bike though. This guy is cheap, bikes aint!

Sweet, should catch you up at some point then. I like the idea of razor wire but you need to build a false internal fence and fill it with the razor wire. When Mr Lowlife hops over the fence.. HELLO! a world of pain and the more he struggles the worse it gets.... (insert manic laughter here).

Well at least I know our garage is safe. Can't get in our garage to take bike out for a ride after flatmate leaved the keys in his pocket on a flight to Auckland today

Really sorry to hear that Al. Gutted for you.

    Hint
Something that Insurance companies seem to be forgetting to tell people these days: When the stuff gets replaced DO NOT put the packaging out for recycling. " They" are keeping an eye out for it, to know when to come back for a second go.

After we got burgled a couple of years ago, I did a bunch of stuff to make the place more secure. But if they want to get in they will so I installed a security camera setup.

Just get a webcam and install this free software http://www.novosun.com/cyeweb/freeversion.aspx and get a free bulk email addy from yahoo gmail or wherever.

I already had a webcam so it cost me nothing.

Basically what it does is convert the web cam into a motion detector camera that immediately emails frame grabs when it detects anything.

It wont stop them getting in but you will have photos. Like this http://www.stuff.co.nz/technology/35...-snap-intruder

EDIT: And if they take your PC your still safe cos it immediately emails the frame grabs. When testing it, I can see the detector alert and within 10 seconds the emails are in my Yahoo email account.

I'm in the opposite situation, I can get into my garage but can't get at my bike!

They may be, they seem to like bikes and gear. My problem is that around here they see me coming and going on the bikes so obviously I 'deserve' to have them nicked. They don't comprehend that most of us work damn hard for our enjoyment. Well, at least they'll still be trash long after the gear is gone.

Thanks Tracy That's what worries me, knowing they'll probably be back now they know the layout. I'm going to make it as difficult as I can though, that's for sure!

Yep! They won't be seeing any packaging from me. I'm quite looking forward to getting some new gear actually.

Brilliant! Thank you! Not a major outlay and combined with an alarm that could just give the police a face. If they try it again!
