Had the visit from the very nice lady assessor this morning. I'm getting a bunch of stuff. The Hospital wants their equipment back, so that will be replaced plus an electric Laz-E-Boyand a table for my laptop will be provided. I'll get a stool for the kitchen so I can sit to make my lunch, as I can't stand long enough to make a sandwich.
Trudy, my caregiver, was spoken to to make sure she had enough time to care for me properly each day and was able to help me explain what I needed.
My new case manager rang later in the morning to ask how I got on and emphasised that if I had any concerns or needed anything, to call her anytime.
So while being forced into a sedentary lifestyle for at least the next six weeks and the surgeon says will take months to heal up, I can't complain about much can I?
My wife cracked us up last night again. Snuggling up to me in bed she says," I can put my arm right around you!"![]()
