i too really enjoyed ride yesterday, had to do a quick turn around at Akaroa to get back to Chch but what a great day for it - spent day today going from open home to open home being insanely jealous at all the bikes on the road! also thought Neels pace wasn't too bad out there on the ol XJ - easy rider to follow
interesting things happen above 10,000 rpm.....not if you have a ZRX tho

I think you are starting to get the idea on corners as well. You were definately cornering better towards the end of the ride.

    See you next week???????????

Hope you all didn't mind pootling along behind me 2 up on the old 600, the roads were pretty good considering the frost this morning although I did poke the nose tentatively around a few corners just in case, particularly when there was still frost on the grass on the way around to little river. Fish & chips were good, holy crap that place must do some business, it's a good day when you can sit outside in the sun in the middle of winter.

Good to see the L-platers punting the GN's along and still smiling at the end, with gloplg keeping an eye on caz and robert riding some nice lines from duvauchelle up to the hilltop on the way home. If you guys can cope with the last couple of rides you've been on you should be good to ride anywhere now. Remember most of us are still learning, I tried briefly to hang on to dangerous down from the hilltop but that wasn't going to happen, so I've still got some work to do too.

    See ya all next time...

    Thanks for leading N.

You did such a good job there is a risk you could be there regularly.
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

Neels does a great job punting the ol XJ and great to follow,I agree!

Was a nice ride cruising behind Neels and you, with young Ben on the FJ1200 and Vgygrwr on the smooth TDM tusked behind me most of the day.

I followed Flip most of the way home...I had a big smile & a watching Flip on the Harley, followed by brps buddy pulling a mono most of the way up the Takamatua Straight!

Man what a mint day on saturday, noticed the new asphalt akar's side of hilltop, really improved the road surface, a joy for humming round the corners. Did a u turn at duv' and headed back too chch ,as had a person coming soon after 3 to look at rummies bike. Young guy and his father turned up , all good...looks like it's sold . Chat ,chat, chat to his old man about bikes as you do, sounds like you might hav brought a few of his rd350/400's dangerous? can't think of another ginga with a shed full of bikes that races in halswell.........
