I was thinking the same!! He's fucken mad! But much respect!!

Says some for the guy! To be that good, still have a sense of humor (even at himself re: the donkey thing), and be this committed!
Even the Rossi haters must respect the man, his achievements and the down to earth way he comes across??

I used to think Schumacher was gifted champion but Rossi leaves him for dead IMHO!!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

At the end of Free Practice 2, Rossi qualified 3rd fastest — just 0.293s behind Stoner and 0.433s behind Lorenzo. Not a bad effort methinks. Go Vale!

He still is a gifted champion, nothing has changed there, time may or may not have moved on, I think it'll be at least half way through next years season to see wether he still has the magic and needle sharp racing mind and skills he's famed for. He and Rossi too maybe one day will be surpassed but until then Schumacher is the greatest F1 driver ever, Rossi the greatest GP bike racer and Loeb the greatest Rally driver, the facts and figures speak for themselves.

What about that new gyro camera on the rear of Rossi's bike. Lean angles looked impressive.
Great to see him back. G.

Not as hard as Brian Bernard, he crashed his Hayabusa in practice at Paeroa a few years back breaking tibia and fibia. his pit crew rebuilt the bike and he kept his leathers on and managed three thirds that day, then went to the hospital and in plaster for six weeks
    Hard Bastard!

Fuggin' hell, he must be Scottish or sumthin', amazing what people will do for a coupla hundred bucks!

I dunno if it's just me but I thought he's looked a lot skinnier this season, but last night during a post qualifying interview he looked almost skeletal. It's the first time I've ever thought he looked his age, if not a bit more.

Whilst that is indeed hard...there's breaks and then there's BREAKS. When you put the bone out the front of your shin...you ain't racing nothing till it's fixed.

Yeah, there's hard and then there's stupid, what on earth did he think he was proving? What might have happened if he had fallen off again? Does'nt bare thinking about really, i'm sorry but that does'nt impress me and truth be told I don't really think Rossi needs to be out there either, he should be giving his shoulder and leg time to regain full fitness but I guess these guys get paid a shit load of money to race so...

Wow, what a race (and two for the price of one !)

125's and moto2 were good as well. Sachsenring, a riders track and very well organised, one of my favourites. G.
