Today's wowsers were yesterday's rebels. Self-preservation and good sense catches up with everyone. If DEATH doesn't first.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Most people seeing a 1200 Suzuki Bandit riding down the road would say "look at that motorcyclist" or... "look at that motorcycle rider"...

    Sorry.

    Sorry.
In my experience most people still think we're all bikies

Sorry to say it but I think you're overestimating the intelligence of the average person.

Yeah ... I bet it was ... it's all the people who've joined since that are arguing ...
I guess thats half the problem, and half the reason people give up being a "biker" when they get older. I ride because I like bikes and riding, gets me from a to b with a smile on my face. If people dropped the teenage angst fuck the police rebel image maybe they would get taken seriously by the public and government when it came to things like ACC levies. Who are the real bikers? The weekend posers who put on the "biker" fashion patch or the people that ride because they enjoy it.
I love the smell of twin V16's in the morning..

I think, most people ride because they like it, and it makes them feel free and different. Whatever the reason people ride, I don't really care, most seem friendly and approachable, and its great meeting up with them all, young, old, patched, and the dense lol. We are all a part of a weird breed thats for sure, and thank God for that lol.

It's not what or how you ride that defines you, it's the simple fact that you choose to ride over driving a CAGE! Rage against the CAGE lol.....
I am freindly really, I only bite when provoked

Wheelies everywhere are great. Would be really great if those people paid my ACC levy on my rego.

I agree with the other guy... fuck you are sounding like a scratched up record. Get off that GSXR right now, who do you think you are you noob jockey? I'll sort out a GN250 for you immediately.

It's not about posing one bit. the fact is you are an insecure wimp and are putting the blame on real riders when you are really the poser on your shiny, new GSXR who will never take it over 10g.

Too many soft cocks on here... I too wish the days of dare devils, thrills, excitement that were daily topics were brought back.

This guy just wanted to share a little story and talk about the fun of wheelies. Stop getting so heavy attacking him and go live life.

The underlying problem me thinks is too many old, bitter crusties on here... you folk just fight, fight, fight. Why? It's an ever losing battle can't you see?

I count myself as a biker and a motorcyclist....motorcycle rider ..whatever. I use a ute for work and try and get out most weekends for a ride ..any excuse to be on two wheels, even nipping down to the shops. Sometines I like to cruise at the speed limit (especially now I have 80 demerits) and sometimes I need the adrenilin rush and lead from the front.
If I did not have a work ute I would commute on two wheels just like 25-30 years ago when I did not get my car license until i was 20. It was two wheels or nothing. I am still young enough to enjoy rain or shine riding.

I didn't join this site in the beginning with the "rebels" and don't plan on being one anytime soon, unless being passionate about motorcycling makes me one

Does that mean I have to leave now

Wheelies on modern bikes are fun - but have little credibility - whatever the location - be it a 'considerate to others' place or Jackass place like downtown Orewa - any schmuck can do them.

In that case leave us to our fucking wheelies and knee downs for now and stop complaining, we'll get it eventually.
