There are heaps of other, (by definition) gangs out there. By definition a gang is a group of people banded together for the purpose of closed social orientation. This would have to include the police, as New Zealand second largest gang, 2nd to the Mongrel Mob, they'll be happy to know that lol........
There are notorious family gangs, owh and the Christian Gangs lol....... Like those ones that come bashing on your doors every weekend to wake you up and tell you that God loves you.......... and all you want to do is hose them down with a flame thrower lol...
Throughout history, invading settlers and explorers have always laid claim to groups of resistance as gangs and have tried to extinguish them as a result. Ie gangs are also tribes????
It seems today the definition referred to as Gangs, is a reference to a group of people formed with the purpose of illegal activities, however the law enforcement agencies make no distinction really between them. It's clear that obviously all bikers, or riders of motorcycles are gang members, patched or not, as they continually harass and intimidate those patched or not with little or no conclusive purpose.
On my bike I have been pulled over at least 20 times in the last 6 months, and zero times in my car. I drive a car more often than my bike usually...... mmmm interesting.
Anyway, back to gangs, some are simply shit muppets scraping at the sluce under my shoe, however I have met alot of MC riders, and I have to concur, most of the groups I have met with have been civil one on one. I guess its an image thing....
Regardless, it doesn't really bother me, I like all bikers, even the do-gooder brigade lol.

It is an international police motorcycle club.
Sadly a small minded person at the HQ thought it was a criminal gang and banned police in NZ from joining back in 2006 when we looked at setting up a chapter in NZ.

I laughed one day, The cop said to me, "you gangs members are all the same" lol, I luaghed at him and called him a bloody idiot, "take a look at my patch you muppet" He looked and said so what, so I said well I ain't forgivin your sins then and sending you straight to hell... smiling... he still wasn't figuring it out, so I slowed my speach down and said, I am a Christian motorcycle chaplain. I am a member of a Church Gang? I pointed out that perhaps he should refrain from generalized statements that are above his pay grade, as his comments were discriminatory under the Human Rights Act 1993 by religion....
We then talked a while and I prayed for him and his mate lol...... think they were touched by an angel different to they were used to dealing with lol.
To clarify, I don't hate police, all people I respect the same, however I will not tolerate in my presence anything below the operating standard of conduct required to me through my public right to decency and respect. I am thankful to all the police out there who do work very hard in policing in NZ. (Just not Traffic Lol)
