I can usually get 200kms before going onto reserve (unless there's a strong head wind), so will need one top-up along the way. Does anyone know if there's a petrol station somewhere around the halfway mark?

We will have a "splash" at Darfield which will take us through to Ashburton.

Please note guys n gals the total journey is some 300+Ks.
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

308kms round trip. Thats what Ginny and I did last Saturday. Keep an eye out for the Guzzi somewhere along the scenic route and we will join in the ride for part of it. (If the weathers OK)

Had a shower of go thru before sunrise this morning but blue sky with very high cloud in places and about 10 degrees outside at the moment. Should be a great day for a ride. (At least until that shitty southerly gets here). Will probably meet you guys at Mayfield between 1330hrs and 1400hrs if you are heading that way first?????

Forecast looks okay for today. Might be a bit chilly through the gorge but I'm glad we aren't going tomorrow!!!
I'll meet you all at yaldhurst russley rd corner.
Just past the traffic lights heading west is a good spot for me.

Great ride. Got about 10 min rain around Ashvegas. The checkered flag was a great place to stop for a late lunch.

A couple of folk took pics, show and tell.
