    Correct it was that meeting

I think 1/2 the field gave up as they were suffering from Hypothermia, I couldn't even undo my own helmet or get my gloves off when I finished

Mad day. Fast crazy racing. Thanks Brendon and everyone that helped organized the event. By far the best racing I have ever experienced. BOB rules. I will write a race report after i stp being drunk.

OK it didnt snow, track was wet this morning so practice and first race were wet, then a dry line formed everyone got brave and the pace really picked up. We had practice and 2 rounds before the BOB. Also racing were street stock, motards and P82/89. there was no pissing round between rounds so everyone was kept on their toes. BOB got underway with everyone making it through the warmup lap, hasnt always been like this. then with the wave of the flag we were away, bla bla racing Rich Ban fast Hoogies even faster. Ace rider Denis Charlet ran over his exhaust pipe and punctured, Dangerous caused trouble, crash here and there Race stopped cos Gav made the tyres roll onto the track. Restart, more of the same I lapped people , people lapped me It was great.

Good to see the wellington crowd down here , they all survived . A mighty good day a few engines expired , alot of tired aching people .

Made a video of the whole race , came out OK , Bren is going to You tube it next week , cos I cant

Hey its Bears tomorrow anyone going ?? its raining , Im going to sleep in !

Thanks to Bren and MCI John Hecker and Wendy , also the support crew that we cant race without. Top job guys !!

Yea I was going to go, will go for a drive and see if they will be running, but looking at the weather forecast I doubt they'll get many wanting to stay and race. It's only 5 minutes from home so no hassle to see whats going to happen. After the few slides I had today and stayed upright I don't want to push it too much. I had a 2 wheel drift after the front washed out and somehow and I mean somehow caught it and carried on in the first wet race.
    I love my Bucket.

My day started shitty unloading the bucket noticed it had a flat rear, pumped it up and found a chunk of wire in my new rear slick Yesterday Bren threw me a dunlop front off his 600 for my motard and with plenty of help I had it fitted and it was into the unknown, plenty of "it'll be fine" from those that didn't have to ride on it.

the pre BOB sprints were hectic as always and man not doing the BEARs points series has isolated me from the real world and the new crew have certainly picked u the pace or I've got old and slow.

BOB was its usually mixed bag of fast, slow, broken and bent. My post red flag pace seemed mush better and my confidence in the dot tyre on the rear was good and I think its superior to a slick.....definitely no worse. At the 50 min mark I lost concentration and ran wide on the ripple strip onto the back straight. I went to drop it into the kink and the bike wobbled like a flat rear, I stood it up and ran off onto the grass. Back at the pits I found its snapped the top eye off the shock!

Thanks to Dennis being hard and breaking the Factory bike I flogged the rear shock and finished the days racing.

Good day in all thanks to those who gave there time, I haven't been this shagged in ages, must be too old!

So, awesome day... I kicked the arses of all those that usually hound me on a borrowed bike (similer tune to mine, but a different feel for some reason) only close calls were with D Charlot, comming out the hair pin he tried shortening my foot in his frount wheel and very last corner he arsed up and to avoid him I took the grass track allthe way back to the checkered, so proberly dosent count cos I crossed the line out side the cones, but it want for the lack of trying to get back on the seal, the grass was like ice.

Gave a Duc 400 a spin for the 1st time in posties and took a 2nd place, I want one of them it was an awesome wee bike very managable.
    cheers DD

Sound like Richard from Wellington got 3rd in BOB but won two other races. Sounds like some talented compertition. Maybe some more track time would have helped.
Well done Richard good show. Havent heard about how Dave went.

    Bit of a report.

The wet track in race one was hard to get used to. I got a good start and planned on finding someone fast to follow and learn some lines. I quickly learned that there is no messing around and got passed buy heaps of people on a different planet. That would be planet really fast. I got back passed a few people and started having fun. The fun just didn't stop from there. Another sprint race and a dry line and things got lifted to another level again got 3rd or 4th or whatever. BOB race and was starting to really get into the grove. I was trying to stay with the front runners but just could not live at that pace. After the restart I felt great and managed to hang at the front for quite a while I think I got 3rd or 4th. The sprint races after that were my highlight some hard racing. The final all in with the streetstocks was the best. A 5 way wheel to wheel race to the flag. My bro said the crowed were buzzing watching that race, shouting and screaming. I managed to take the win with a committed pass around the outside on the final corner. Thanks again to Brendan for all the hard work that meant no riding all day for him. And also all the marshals and everyone for the best racing ever. Bring on the next one.
