hows the iridium visor? can ya wear at night?
I always have iridium visors. It gives me that cool "I wonder what he looks like" biker look And I love seeing the disappointment when I take off the helmet

To be honest, I prefer the tint colour of the HJC iridiums to the Shoei ones. The HJC ones are a bronze compared to a black. In saying that, the quality of the shoei ones are light years better, sooo nice. So I don't mind the actual tint colour as much.

As for night riding...the wife has been caught and done it but it's dodgy. I haven't but I have been caught at dusk which was bad enough for my shitty eyes. I just carry the clear one around my waist in a visor bag if I think I'm gonna be caught.

I understand some HJC hats have similar but I haven't tried theirs.

My AGV clear visor has a coating and it has worked just fine so far. Currently though I use a dark visor on that hat (of course?) and it isn't coated.

As stated the Arai has a pinlock and it's OK in the day, but not too good at night.
It doesn't fog, it just diffuses (?) car headlights spreading them over more of the visor area than is helpful. The Arai arrangement is great as long as you don't ride at night. Just the thing for sprotbike riders
Shit, I haven't had a problem at all with mine so must be the Arai. I especially like the new visors where the pinlock really wraps around the side. None of the crap with the edge of the pinlock getting in your view.

It's possible but I doubt it. I'm on my 3rd Arai now, i've had a Chaser and i'm on my second RX7GP none of which have had and visual distortion issues. Arai i'm told are pretty particular about every facet of their helmet design including the visors. I'd be more inclined to say it's a Pinlock distortion issue if anything. Although i've never experience an issue with them either.
