Is it safe to ride in Christchurch?

There have been several fairly violent after shocks in Christchurch today, so if I go out for a ride and a quake strikes, am I likely to crash?

just serpentine that shit! Think you'd be alright though, lateral movent goes both ways in a quake right? so you won't have a choice but to serpentine

As long as you are not a five year old boy on a push bike you should be fine.

A decent one about 20 minutes ago. I rode over Dyers Pass yesterday and survived. TBH I'm not sure you'd noticed it if you were traveling at speed. Then again, maybe it would cause you to spin out into a violent crash.

    Hope that helps

I went over Dyers Pass on Saturday, and luckily there were no shocks.

You know the feeling, when you're in a stationary car and you can easily rock it from side to side while sitting inside it, but at 50kmh you can't do that? I wonder if the same rule applies to bikes. I really do like my fairings the way they are.

...if you were riding on the old Tai Tap Rd, it wouldnt matter if it shook or not, theres still a likelihood you'd have an off if you thought you might ride it like days of old...
