All to the left, and none fell over in the quakes.

Always to the left. Why do people think it looks better to the right? It definitely doesn't if surrounded by other bikes that are pointing left... But then, I prefer order to chaos, so maybe those who point right just like to stand out.

To the left for me, and yes your right Princess... the tip for shortys and the not so muscular is to sit on your bike and turn the bars to the right to aid in lifting it off the stand... it does work (not that I need to do that seeing as I am tall and muscular )

To the left for me to!! Well I am left handed to so everything drifts slightly that way
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

I turn my wheel left into the lean, and point the bike so it is pointing up hill, so that it is less likely to come off its side stand.

When parking up my bike I have become accustomed to following procedure. Seems to work well for me, or just work:

    *Pull into space to park
    *Straighten up the front wheel
*Put right foot on ground to take weight while reaching for kick stand
*Drop on ground on right hand side

*Pick it up (ok, get everyone else to pick it up for me)
    *Lean on kick stand
*Turn wheel left into lean of bike
*Look incredibly sheepish for parking my bike miles away from everyone else again, as per usual.

Oops, did I just say all of that out loud? What I actually meant was, yes, front wheel full left lock.

    Lefty here too....

I always put the bike in gear and lock the wheel before after parking.

Giving due consideration to the road camber and gradient before choosing where to stop can be challenging.

    Sometimes take 'ckin ages......
