Only 733km - 2 fuel stops (could probably do it with 1 stop if gas station was in the right place and not too hard on the gas).

lol, i'd need 3 fuel stops if they were in the right places, and probly another 3 rest stops or a new pair of rearsets!

733km divided by a bros650 doing 170 km per tank....
Mine was only getting 140ish before reserve "commuting" the Pahiatua track each day. Had to fill up every day in Pahiatua.

The VTR would need at least that - given the roads in the route

Is anybody going to Marton soon? I may need that CB400 looked at. Or I could just take the risk and buy it unseen.....

I've got to find a way to town to lay a deposit down [stupid rural and no license shit]
But if you, or anyone could have a squizz, it would be great. I can pay in beverages or that money stuff. I need a project to keep myself busy when away from study/work until November....

There's a wee bit in here about proposed power to weight restrictions on bikes.
In theory a good idea, except the Japs lie often about the power/weight.
It's a good idea though, learners could own a bros400 or GB400 type thing in theory. Or any Harley.....

yup, weather permitting I'd be going through late morning sometime, so if you wanna arrange a look let me know where, and any non-standard checks to do.

so its a good idea for learners to own harleys, hmmm ,maybe they haven't thought it through!

In UK i think bros 400's are sometimes allowed on learners depending if they choose to take the whp, or crank hp, bit of a messed up system.

Bros400 make less power than a spada....
Which day are you going through? I'll get in contact with the people.
Just the usual checks on a bike plus a quick look to see how bad the damage from it being dropped is, hopefully the radiator is fine and the crank case isn't shagged beyond repair.
