Yep, I'm the heaviest I've ever been. 25kg heavier that I was 5 years ago.

I actually quite like the new R1, with aftermarket pipes it looks a lot tidier and sounds lot hornier.

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Tis a Yamahahahaha G. Just thrash it like you stole it. Gixxer 4 ever
It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

Hmm... I'm not so sure there Bob.

Number #3 is the same angle. See for yourself. The 08 in my opinion is the sexiest bike EVER built. ANyhow, the extra price of the 09 doesn't justify what you get. Most riders are never going to be able to exploit the 5% top end range of the bike that is superior to the 08. A nothing choice really.

They are two very different bikes to ride re power deliver etc. I find the '09+ R1 is much easier to ride faster especially if the rider is not interested in having to rev the snot out of their bike.
The way the '09+ delivers its power makes it easier to road ride at sensible levels. Simply just roll on and she'll go where as the previous models deliver their power in the higher rev range therefore encouraging the rider to cane it.
Overtaking is MUCH easier due to its torque.

IMHO an all round better road bike....IMHO an all round better/easier bike to ride VERY fast especially if you're from a "twin" background

The yamaha, same suzuki, have both been designed by the No1 origami master son.

The ducati looks a little better but its a ducati.

The R1 is a bloated thing that will never win any beauty awards. The 848 is pretty but is low spec and will utlimately leave you wondering about it's bigger brother(s). Both are lousy value for money.

For that sort of dosh I'd be looking at something like a Duc 999R instead. The shape is actually getting better looking as time goes by and in you'll never have to worry about another pulling up next to you at the lights.
