Saturday 2nd of Oct, A biker (not me) went down after colliding with a campervan being driven on the wrong side of the road, by Canadian tourist. Happened on the 2nd left corner east of the Cheese factory, be careful out there!

Wow - you OK?
A nice set of corners those ones - bloody camper vans.
Twice on the way up to the hill top I have come around blind corners and encountered a camper van stopped in the middle of the road while the occupants enjoy the view!
Hows the bike?
Bloody tourists .........
One day a NZ Government will decide that there are too many head-ons due to tourists being on the wrong side of the road and change the side we drive on to accommodate them .......
I've got no problem with that, the view is beautiful and I shouldn't be going so fast as I can't stop in the distance I can see anyway... anyone might've stopped for livestock, flat tire, accident etc. Wrong side of the road deserves 2 minutes with their head in the bay though.
Banks Peninsular roads are bad for that - lived in Diamond Harbour for years and avoided going out on Saturdays as the road was always full of people driving on the wrong side or in the middle gawking over the side.
grrrrr tourists!
