Well there's plenty of YT footage of this so called incident now and from what I saw it was hard racing and not much more.
Rossi didn't need to ride his team mate that hard given he has a championship at stake and as pointed out before Lorenzo didn't need to poke his nose in there to that extent either for the same reason but at the end of the day racing is racing and they are racers. Another good hard (really hard) battle we can all revel in.
I can't wait to see Julian Simone on a GP bike, preferably a thou.
That guy has to be the most consistently fun person to watch race throughout Moto 2 and Moto GP.
I think it was some real racing for a change and about time.
I am sick of lap after lap hearing the split time is .1 or .2 of a second closer than last lap, but they are 2 seconds apart - boring!!!!!!!!
MotoGP needs this type of competitive rivalry. Full credit to Lorenzo for going for third and not taking the easy fourth, full credit to Rossi for not letting him take the place to help win the championship.
More of the same next race please.
winging poofters, it was shit hot hard fuck off racing, just like a few years back.
As far as Yamaha spanking Rossi's bum for his and Lorrenzos battle, wankers, they should have been spanking Lorenzos butt for Risking his own safety in the first place by battling so much with Rossi, when he is about to be GIVIN a championship anyway, his riding was based on pride, NOT on Company layallty.
I fear the day technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots! ALBERT EINSTEIN
The battle for third was fucking great !I didn't think it was "dirty" or dangerous (well any more dangerous than normal - wringing the necks of 200+ horsepower bikes - I'd be to scared to throw my leg over one !!)
I might have a different view if Rossi had fucked up and taken Lorenzo out - (has he ever done that ? I don't recall ever seeing it.)
"You never understood that it ain't no good, you shouldn't let other people get your kicks for you" - Bob Dylan
He "guided" Gibernau off the track in 2005.
Stoner ended up in the kitty litter in 2008 after a too-close encounter with Rossi.
But the Laverty-on-Sofuoglu, bung-it-up-the-inside, fall-off-and-take-the-other-bloke's-wheels-out approach has never been his style. Rossi's ability to keep *himself* upright and more-or-less on-track during close dicing is remarkable!
Edit: Rossi ran into Melandri at Motegi or Sepang in 2005 and Melandri's ankle was skewered by his bike's footrest. Rossi had just caught Melandri, and said Melandri's early braking took him by surprise. And I believe Rossi took out Toni Elias on the opening lap of a race in 2006 or 2007.
Lorenzo was pretty much depised by other riders for his agressive riding and nerfing, even comentators made blabs about it. he's a whining little girl.
Rossi does what he does best, pull off unreal moves, Giberneau was a girls blouse. ask Gary McCoy.
Rossi's in it for the racing. remember Biaggis move onthe 500's? that was sinister, and audacious from a young Rossi
Stoner will be interesting to watch on the Honda. Rossi will be a revelation on the red one.
I got around to watching the race last night and I can't see what the fuss is about. There was some forceful racing by both riders, that's all.
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
