I was starting to cut him some slack lately, making allowances for his crappy comments as it could be said that it does get some topics out in the open..... NZ is too pc now after all....... But, that clinches it for me,now I just see him as a pureile little gnome.

Don't drink too much trying to get those effects. Kawakawa tea and kava are two completely different drinks made from different parts (leaves vs roots) of different plants. And only one of them is traditionally made with saliva.

The chipmunk is a twit but aren't we all just getting a bit too precious in this country these (pc) days!

Surely there are more important things to worry about than his flippant comments! Move along FFS!

Not now the Indians have seen an opportunity to distract attention from the disaster that their commonwealth games are turning into...

Exactly! When I was young I was taught that 'sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me' ..........whatever happened to that?

heh, i'd rather have a purile Henry, than my politicians going out of their way to flay one of their own in the eyes of the world... WTF does it have to do with India??? He's an entertainer, and to "some" he's entertaining... let it go world

"McCully to address Indian concerns over Henry Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully says he wants India to know that Paul Henry's on-air racial slur were the "gratuitous and insulting" actions of an individual."

What a fuckin bruhaha and waste of time and resource over a purile comment. Hows about rolling your eyes and ignoring it like most probably have...

At the end of the day:

    1) thats why he has the job - he creates controversy

    2) Live tv and radio shows have producers that can tell the presenters to stop if their making a cock-up. Henry was left to carry on, ergo it was ok with the bosses.

Not defending Henry, but there are other players involved pulling strings.

The racist comments I take with a grain of salt, as has been said, the Maori party members have said far far worse.

What tipped it for me was the childish giggling at the womans name, what a knob.

    Agreed.
He seems to be a smart guy, but the comments about the GG and particularly the adolescent behaviour about the Woman's name makes me wonder...
