Brian's had the belts showing thru by Rawene (had heaps left when he left home). Probably got less than 10k out of them. He had to get a Metzler in Kaitaia which meant we didn't get away until 9:20.

Mine have got around 6 on them and have maybe 1-2k left on them. You can just about see the wear at each gas stop...

I see PR2's in the (not too distant) future...

Road conditions for you other mob:
    • Napier-Wairoa, very badly knocked around with slips etc. Be very careful if wet.
    • East Cape, not too bad. Lotta bumpy around by Te Puia Springs.
    • Big diversion about 40-50km East of Opotoki, may be delays and definitely some off-road riding.
    • Mangamuks, patches of gravel & new seal (was mint in the rain this morning)
    • Awakino gorge, mint!
    • Mt Messenger - damn wet when I was there
    • Everywhere else, a lot of road works and delays...

Do not put Angels on a Connie...
thanks for the heads up mate, hope you had a good week after the GC not quite going as planned

Shit! May as well put Pilot Powers on it at that kinda milage... Sounds like you'll get similar milage out of the Angel as I did on the 14. You must be a hoon!

Wonder how far these rumored Road 3's are away....

I'll work out the proper mileage later. Off to Lake Ferry shortly - anyone wanna go for a pootle? Great day out there...

not over this side either! I think 'great day' in BR language just means 'no work today' rather than 'nice sunny day for riding'!

Nearly all men can stand adversity and hard time, but if you want to test a mans true character, give him power....

Its an absolute cracker day up here. But be aware as there is a lot of traffic around due to the A&P show is on.
Tis a Yamahahahaha G. Just thrash it like you stole it. Gixxer 4 ever
It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

Had some reasonably fine spell but it's just started pissing down. Now that the GC and 4 points are done and dusted what are you gonna do with the rest of your time off?

Yeah at the end of the day I thought the Road 2 is definitely the better tyre but if push comes to shove the Angel might offer a jot more road feel. I also felt that the handling of my bike deteriorated more than any other tyre i've used toward the end of the tires life. I'm slowly but surely becoming suitably impressed the the Power Pures but they are definitely no touring tyre, that said they are wearing evenly and resisting flat spotting like I hoped they would, the front is holding it's shape very well too. I have to take it with a grain of salt at the moment though as this is the first new set of tires to go on since the suspension upgrade and it'll be more obvious what going on if I run different tires next time.
