I quite like it, but I'm more interested in the new ZX10R.

Yeah the new 10 looks to be a monster, be interesting to see how it stacks up against the supposed king at the moment the S1000RR.

i think the biggest thing honda got wrong is the engine.
they started with a 750, then 800 and ended up with a 850.
then they went out with a 1200.
    wtf!

looks like an ER6 on crack. Is there a single person in the world (aside from the guy that designed them) that could possibly like those pipes?Still, each to there own eh.

If it was a 1000cc twin I would agree. Even the rear shock is in a similar setup.

Does this replace Kawa Z1000 nakked..?

Waiting to see what the price is for it, depending on that and a test ride I'm definitely looking at saving my pennies.

It remains to be seen if they bring this model to NZ though.

    Shuddup you

Seriously though, it's just that whole "wide front end with lots of angles" thing kind seems to remind me of the B-King.

Well, that was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw it anyways.

Actually, that's not really correct. They started with a 750, then made a 500 and 1000 in the same style, were forced to make a 700 just for America because HD were suffering, then made a 400, dropped the 500 and 1000, then made a 781, another 781, and then two 1237s (?) (manual and DCT) as well as the 781. Rumours are that there may yet be another V4 adventure bike, and possibly a 1000 or 1237 sprotsbike to complement the sports-tourer, which if it eventuates will mean the VFR800 will be discontinued.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

I like the 'plain' Kawa Z-1000 better.
But then, I'm biased towards naked bikes.
Life is just too damn short for if's and maybe's..

    new kawasaki z1000sx

now this looks like a bit of kit, not as bulky as a tourer (concours/fj) and not as uncompromising as the zx10. (almost) enough power and surely enough handling/comfort for NZ conditions.
optional panniers, if needed. looks ok.
    whats the feedback?
remember how hot the old zzr1100 was, and then things got too racey or too tourery...(is that a word)
