Should be all go now boys! Anyone wanting to stay up there sat night? I could be keen if we can scab some cheap beds. It will be a long day and a late ride back down south otherwise, but doable...

We will be looking to meet at 10 or 11am (TBC) at Waiouru Caltex. We can't afford to f*ck around time wise - we need get in to camp, get briefed, then get out yonder, so chop the latte's and blow on the pies...
Great news! That is awesome......we gonna get blown away with the scenery boys...
Hey Jimbo, bring the camper down mate, we can have roast dinner again...
You were a great host, and that weekend was one of the best I had down there....I liked it so much, did it again...with me Dogs too!

Would you be interested in a wander up Takapari Rd on the Sunday morning?

thanks Mark - you're too kind with your assessment - will good to catch up if we can (if I get to make it on to Bugg's select list) - just fitted a Desert D606 to the front of the DR - be a shame not to use it eh - S

Now you said it, he has to let you get it scuffed in.....BTW, I scrounged around at my local great Motorbike shop, found two tyres perfect for the bike....Nice Metzler 6 day Enduro, right size an' all.........I got to borrow a couple of tyre spoons and wil sit in the garage this weekend pretending that it is a mountain bike.... Yep, NZKTM is a virgin in changing tyres......on a Motorbike.....If all works well, I can use these for the ride down, the ride and take it easy home, there is plenty of life left in these puppies..The things people throw out ....Done it meself too....shame!

yeah I'm tied to Wellington friday night so at best will get on the road around 7am from Trentham. Depending on progress I'll either belt up the main drag or divert up Turakina.

I'll find a place for us to drop gear for the day in camp, no worries there. Sat night...I've got no other plans so can do sunday also; so happy to stay overnight.

Lookin forward to it - been a few years since I've been out in the zones.
There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

Yo, Buggsie, would that include a reasonably 'safe' place to leave my car and trailer too?
You see, Im carryn a 'disability' thats bin exacerbated by the last 30days x 8600km and to ride to Wia, around the scrub, then home again would not happen at the moment.
No, I can't stay over - busy on the farm now - if it wasn't Id still be over 'home' !
I'm no gynaecologist, however I would be happy to take a look......................

Did you miss my message? Or have I not qualified?

I spent hours convincing my partner to let me go riding, it has even cost me 1x rather exepensive ice-cream maker to sweeten the deal.
