    Harley Davidson Fatboy gears?

I saw a video on youtube of a Harley Fatboy and when the gear switch came into view it looked like there were 2 gear levers, one at the top of the footrest and one at the heel...

I ride a motorbike myself but I have no idea what was goin on with that Harley...

    Honda C90s have those.

    You're quite excitable, eh Derek.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

The one at the back is to enable the pillion to do the gear changes if the rider gets a little overwhelmed with all the other things they have to do.

My Mini Chopper's got one too. Or had one. I chucked in the bin when I realised that Harleys had 'em.

    Scorpios have them as standard.

Most people take to the "heel" bit with a hacksaw, but.

My Scorpio has it and I love it, don't know why it's not on all bikes. Much easier to switch using heel where it has a hard sole, than top of toes, where the shoe's soft.

Most Harleys or clones that have footboards have heel shifters.

Some riders like them - I don't really care. The gearboxes on some modern Harleys are so hot-knife-through-butter (yes - times have changed) that sometimes I knock the heel shifter with my size 12's for an unwelcome result.

Generally they don't matter. I maybe use it 5% of the time. The longer I spend on one with it fitted the more I use it.

They are also of benefit if you have ex-sportsman's knees.

what shoes do you wear? Try some proper motorbike boots. (And I don't mean that in a nasty way)

Jockey shift is 2 foot levers? How does that work?

How about a speedway sidecar? 2 hand levers on the left hand side, clutch and gear change done with the left hand.
