I appreciate what you are saying. However, a pot and a kettle are pretty much the same thing. A police officer and a civilian, now they are two separate things altogether.

Yes it is important for the Police to be seen doing it better than everyone else. I also have to accept humans make mistakes.

What most have failed to notice was that it says police vehicles, dosn't say which vehicles or who was driving.

Just make sure you pay the ticket like the 1251 Police issued tickets did ... unless of course you got issued the ticket while trying to preserve human life, avoiding injury to yourself or others, or damage to property (which the Land Transport Rule 2004 allows you to do).

Wonder what the motorbike riders figures look like..........
The bike rider figures would look horrendous compared to that .. that would be bikerrs per day ...

But that's not the point ..we don't abuse people for speeding ... we don't nut off at bikers who "ride too fast" (well, Katman does - but he's strange ) ... we don't hold ourselves up as the arbitors of behaviour on the road ...

It looks like a case of "Do as I say not do as I do ... "

If the people policing our road laws can't stick to thee road rules, then they have no basis to nut off at is ...

Yes we are - its called individual responsibility to live within the law like any citizen.

As far as the police go, it is good to see any unjustified speed is dealt with in the same manner as any other road user. It is also an employment matter for them as it would be a code of conduct issue, especially in a work car. Hardly the right image to send to the public.

Good to see public accountablility. Something the govt MPs could learn from.

Only what will fit in a Ventura Bag ...

But my gawd you people junmp to massive conclusions ...

What baggage ? Just 'cause I think that the upholders of the law should set the example - especially as Police bosses are on TV at least once a week pushing the "speed kills" message in some form or other ... while the blue line at the coal face have a tendency to nut off at bikers breaking the speed limit ?
