Thumbs up Help me out: Cool pictures and vids to inspire

Just got my first trail/adventure bike after riding sports bikes for 12+ years...the newbie in the garage is a 05 DRZ400.I'm .just in the process of getting it road legal and busting my gut to take it for a (legal) ride

Currently it is just sitting in the garage awaiting a few parts...so to ease my impatience at having to wait for my first virgin adventure ride...please post your cool pics and vids to keep me and others amped

There are lots of pics on other threads but it would be cool to have them all in one place so when I am bored at work ...oops I mean on my lunch break... I can check them out without having to troll through heaps of threads...

All I can kick it off with is a picture of my bike in the back yard..sorry boring I know but feel free to top it
    Cheers,
    Wayne

    Welcome to the fraternity.

My youtube channel has mostly adventuring on it with a couple of trail rides and sealed road rides in the mix.
The earlier stuff is a bit fuzzier than the newer stuff as youtube has upgraded their recoding system since my first videos went online.
Unfortunately Youtube playback usually works faster during the day rather than evenings.

Check out my videos on Youtube including... the 2011 Dusty Butt 1K - Awakino Challenge and others.

That's Takapari Road, which runs along the top of the Ruahine range. The track goes up the other side of the range, as the side shown is the steep side.

I run a not very aggressive 50/50 type tyre. Good on the road or rocky terrain, but crap in mud or on grass. I haven't had too many problems with stability on the road. What pressure are you running. It may be too low. Rimlocks can cause a vibration also.

    Silver bullet...

All things muddy....if you are just starting to ride dirt do the family rides first or you may be regreting your decision, some bits can be a bit discouraging at first.

Cheers Crisis...Maybe it is time to move back to the North Island ..seeing as most of the cool events happen up your way.. The south is pretty dead compared to our northern counterparts

Just tightened up the steering head bearings and the sway has reduced a bit...The bike also has a new knobblie (Dot rated) on the front which doesn't help..running 15 and 15 psi..sound about right? great photo's toooo looks like some great missions....Just got a new wof today! just need some trail/adventure riding boots now...and a 6th gear lol..

Anyone have any recommendations on boots..or be wary of 's...
    Cheers
