I'm no gynaecologist, however I would be happy to take a look......................
The weather forecast for the weekend has deteriorated seriously over the last couple of days. So at the moment, I'm not at all sure that I will be riding anywhere or that you will be making silage for that matter.
Riding in the wet is one thing, camping another.
Camping in the wet and sand is just a pain.
Will make a call tomorrow morning.
I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I always was.
Good call Neil, I get really grumpy if I have to sleep in puddles........
Both Metvuw and Metservice as quite similar for a change!
I'd still be keen to go, and make a call on the weather when we get there, and if it is looking like rain then stay at Glinks. There is a large covered kitchen / common thing at Glinks which is OK in the rain.
I'm likely to go no matter what the weather, as this is prob my last outing before Christmas (5 weeks away!).

I don't mind riding in the wet - in gravel and sand, I think it actually has its advantages. So, if you guys are starters regardless and prepared to go commercial for accomodation if the sky falls, let's do it. I'll take a last look at the forecast in the morning and post accordingly.
How did the crate work out by the way and are you joining us tomorrow evening?

In that case I'm a definite, and prepared to stay where ever. I agree with you about riding on wet roads, particularly for dust!
The crate is stored under the house atm. The oz trip didn't happen this year as I ran out of leave and money! Planning is proceeding for easter 11!
And thats a no for me tomorrow evening at this stage.

Me too for taking a tent. There aren't any cabins at Glinks campgound. Last time I stayed there (~2 yrs ago) there were some clapped out old caravans ...?
I'm not aware of the next nearest accomod (other than in Darg itself).
